About Hotel San Agustin Posada del Monasterio
Posada del Monasterio occupies an 18th century mansion of sillar stone on Calle Santa Catalina, directly opposite the Santa Catalina Convent. The building has been restored with some contemporary touches added, and the Main Square is a five-minute walk away. The Casa del Moral, the Arequipa Cathedral and the Casa Irriberry each sit about 0.2 km from the door, so much of the historic center can be covered on foot.
The restaurant seats 65 and serves national and international dishes, with a buffet breakfast from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The rustic bar holds 25 guests and pours from 5 pm to 10 pm. Rooms come in four types, from single to standard triple, and the hotel's room pages list a private bathroom, safe, hairdryer, heater and free Wi-Fi for each. Check-in opens at 12:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM.
The Yanahuara viewpoint is a ten-minute drive, and the Colca Canyon is 4 hours 30 minutes away by car, so the hotel works as a base before or after a canyon trip. The hotel also lists 24-hour security staff, laundry service, a computer room and a courtesy hot beverage station.
