About Belmond Palacio Nazarenas

The building has changed purpose many times. It began as an Inca temple, became a private palace in the 1500s for Mancio Serra de Leguizamón, and in 1644 turned into a Jesuit school for the children of aristocrats before serving as a convent. Belmond restored it and reopened it in 2012. It stands on Calle Plazoleta Nazarenas, in the San Blas area, a five-minute walk from the Plaza de Armas.

All 55 rooms are suites, from Junior Suites of 30 to 39 m² up to Signature Suites that reach 130 m². Studio Suites are the only category listed for up to four guests. Every suite has added oxygen to help with the altitude, useful on a first night in Cusco. Meals center on Mauka, where chef Pía León cooks with ingredients native to Cusco and the Andes. Senzo Bar serves small plates and pisco cocktails.

Hypnôze Spa is inspired by Inca and Andean culture. The hotel also has a heated outdoor pool, a library, a secret garden and a chapel, and afternoon tea features Andean botanicals. Check-in is at 2pm and check-out at 12pm. Facilities are for guests only, though outside diners can book the restaurants subject to availability. The hotel reports position 54 on the extended World's 50 Best Hotels 2026 list.
