About Unaytambo Hotel
Unaytambo sits on Calle Romeritos with an address on Plazoleta Santo Domingo, right beside the Qorikancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun. The hotel occupies a colonial building said to stand on the foundations of an Inca palace. Its Quechua name means an ancient resting place, and the Plaza de Armas is about 600 meters away.
The hotel has 14 rooms in single, double, matrimonial and triple layouts, each offered in a standard or superior grade. By the published floor areas, a standard double is 22 square meters, a standard triple 33 and a superior double 36. Furnishings are colonial in style, with wooden pieces and private balconies. The old parquet floors are historic and creak, so sound carries between rooms.
