About Hotel Viñas Queirolo
The hotel stands about 11 miles from Ica's main square, and the vineyards reach right up to its buildings. The style is republican, with high ceilings and fine wood detail. Grapes from the estate go to the Santiago Queirolo winery, mostly for its Intipalka label, so a stay doubles as a close look at how Peruvian wine and pisco are made.
Rooms fall into three groups: Junior, Superior and Suite. Superior rooms have a king bed and a private terrace facing either the resting pool or the vines. Suites are the only rooms with a jacuzzi, which suits couples, and the Master suite adds a terrace over the garden or vineyard. Families can book Junior Familiar rooms, which have a vineyard view and two sleeping areas.
Meals are served at El Intipalka in three sittings: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Two bars sit beside the pools. A sommelier leads the vineyard walk and tasting, which guests arrange at reception. Between meals there are bikes to borrow, a tennis court and a collection of vintage cars to visit.
