About Palacio del Inka

Palacio del Inka occupies a colonial mansion on Plazoleta Santo Domingo, in front of the Qorikancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun. The building is roughly five centuries old, and the lower sections of some walls are original Inca stonework. A courtyard with a fountain anchors the ground floor, and the Plaza de Armas is about a five-minute walk away.

The hotel has 203 rooms and suites, and the decor changes from one to the next: hand-painted ceilings, gilded antiques, rich textiles and marble bathrooms. Some rooms have a private balcony with Andes views, and certain suites look onto the courtyard or the church. Family suites sleep four, and connecting rooms can be requested for larger groups, subject to availability.

Inti Raymi is the main restaurant, with a breakfast buffet and a dinner menu that includes ceviche and Urubamba trout. Wine is curated by the hotel's master sommelier, and Rumi Bar covers drinks. Downstairs, the Andes Spirit Spa offers massages, facials and a hydromassage circuit with cold plunges and jacuzzis. Guests also get a fitness center with cardio machines and free weights.
