About Hotel Rumi Punku
The entrance is the hotel's signature: an Imperial Inca stone doorway that the Ministry of Culture has recognized as a historic monument. The name Rumi Punku is Quechua for stone door. Behind it, the 43 rooms and suites open onto garden courtyards, with original Inca and colonial walls, wooden floors and handmade woodwork. The Plaza de Armas and San Blas are a short walk away.
There are three room types. Standard rooms come as single, twin, double or triple and face a courtyard or garden. Superior rooms offer more space and a patio outlook. The Colonial Suite adds a private balcony toward San Blas. Rooms are heated at night, and coca tea and a water refill point near reception are free, which helps in the first days at Cusco's altitude.
Breakfast is a buffet served in a colonial room with a fireplace, with fruit, regional breads, Peruvian coffee and eggs made to order. The small spa has a sauna, a jacuzzi and massage treatments. The hotel stores luggage for guests who go to Machu Picchu and return, and security staff are on duty around the clock.
