About Treehouse Lodge
Treehouse Lodge sits where the Yarapa and Cumaceba rivers meet, close to the Pacaya-Samiria reserve in Peru's northern Amazon. Guests sleep in separate treehouse bungalows raised into the trees and reached by walkways, with private balconies that face the forest or the river. The lodge runs on solar power, so the setting stays quiet: there is no cell signal, and hair dryers are better left at home.
A stay here covers the airport transfers, three Peruvian-style meals a day and every guided outing. Each group has its own guide and plans the days on arrival from 18 excursions, among them sunrise birdwatching, kayaking, night caiman spotting, piranha fishing and sunset boat trips to look for pink dolphins. A canopy walkway lifts you 30 to 70 feet above the ground.
The journey is part of the experience. From Iquitos airport the lodge arranges a transfer of about 2.5 hours, first by car and then by boat, with two pickups a day. Come ready for stairs and suspension bridges between the treehouses, bring sturdy shoes for the forest walks, and expect a proper break from screens.

Good to know
- The treehouses are reached by many steps and suspension bridges, so guests need to be steady on their feet.
- Expect to be offline: the lodge has neither WiFi nor a phone signal, and hair dryers and straighteners overload the solar power, so leave them at home.
- Airport pickups run twice a day, at 9:15 AM and 1:30 PM, so choose Iquitos flights that match one of them.
