About Hotel Las Dunas
Hotel Las Dunas sits on Avenida La Angostura in Ica, a desert setting the hotel puts about three hours from Lima. It lies between the Paracas National Reserve and the Nazca Lines, so it works as a base for either excursion. The grounds hold four pools, sports courts and broad lawns, and the Junior Suites face a lagoon and the gardens. Huacachina is roughly a 10 minute drive away.
Rooms come in six groups: Standard, Superior, Deluxe, Junior Suite, Suite Matrimonial and Villa Dunas. Superior rooms take two or three guests and have a private balcony or terrace, while Villa Dunas is aimed at big families and groups of friends. Meals are at Achirana, the main restaurant, and Bar Botijas serves pisco cocktails with small plates. A spa circuit and a gym fill the quieter hours.
Active guests will find plenty to do outside the gate. The hotel's own pitch lists sandboarding, boya rides and dune buggies, plus dinners out in the desert. Children and adults both get an activity program on site. The hotel also has two tennis courts and lends bicycles, so a day can pass without leaving the grounds.
