About Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba

Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba is a contemporary hacienda-style hotel on about 100 acres in the Huayllabamba district, at km 63 of the Cusco to Calca highway. The main house, the Casa Hacienda, holds the lodge-style rooms, and stand-alone casitas are spread across the grounds. The interiors borrow from local history, with colonial furniture, Inca masks and woodwork made by hand. Rooms face the valley and the green mountains around it.

The 45 m2 casitas are the most private choice: each has its own terrace, a chimney and a dining area for two. Families and small groups can look at the Urubamba Owners Quarters, a 190 m2 duplex for up to 6 guests. Mayu Spa sits between an organic orchard and a peppertree forest, and the Dining Room & Bar looks over the valley with Peruvian dishes built on local ingredients.

The Sacred Valley lies lower than Cusco, so one travel specialist suggests sleeping here first before heading up to the city. The hotel lists a private explorer guide, binocular rental and airport or train station transfers as extra services, which suits couples who want a quiet base for Ollantaytambo, Moray and Maras.
