About Casa Andina Premium Arequipa
Casa Andina Premium Arequipa fills a sillar mansion on Calle Ugarte, in the historic center behind the Santa Catalina Convent. The building worked as the National Mint between 1836 and 1841, and the hotel has kept golden murals and paintings from the republican era. Two colonial-style courtyards open up the interior, and the Plaza de Armas is only a few blocks away on foot.
Rooms are decorated in a colonial style and include air conditioning and heating, a bathtub, a safe and sound-insulating windows. The Republican Suite adds a jacuzzi. Alma Restaurante & Bar serves Peruvian cooking and Arequipa specialties, and the bar opens onto the main courtyard. A sunny fourth-floor terrace looks across to the cathedral and El Misti volcano.
